Siesta Key is a barrier island off the southwest coast of Florida. The beach here is one of our absolute favorite warmest beaches in Florida in December.
We love the crystal-clear Gulf waters and white quartz sand. On hot days the sand never heats up to where you burn your feet when walking across it. This makes it a wonderful beach to visit for families who are looking for a place to spend time on the sand, swim or snorkel.
The landscape is perfect for picnicking, building sandcastles, and playing a couple of rounds of beach volleyball. We always have an amazing time when we visit the beach on Siesta Key.
